Your Responsibilities
- You'll lead the monthly close, budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes for Canadian operations
- You'll oversee Canadian tax compliance, legal reporting requirements, and regulatory filings
- You'll partner with manufacturing, supply chain, and commercial leaders to identify opportunities for cost reduction and margin improvement
- You'll provide financial analysis, trend reporting, and business insights that support strategic decision-making
- You'll mentor and develop finance team members while fostering a culture of collaboration and accountability
- You'll drive process improvements, system enhancements, and automation initiatives to improve efficiency and reporting accuracy
- You'll act as a strategic advisor to plant leadership and regional sales teams on financial performance and operational objectives
Skills and Qualifications
- 12+ years of progressive accounting and finance experience within a manufacturing environment
- CPA designation required, Master's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field considered an asset
- Strong experience with standard costing, financial planning and analysis, and manufacturing finance
- Demonstrated knowledge of Canadian tax regulations and legal reporting requirements
- Experience working with SAP, HFM, or comparable enterprise financial systems
- Proven leadership experience managing teams and influencing cross-functional stakeholders
- Excellent analytical, communication, problem-solving, and project management skills
