Our client, in the nonprofit sector, is seeking two Event Assistants to join their team to support the event prepation for two days prior to their event in Ottawa.
Job Title: Event Assistant
Contract: June 9th and June 10th, 2026
Hours of work: 8am to 4:30pm with a 30 minute lunch break.
Location: Ottawa, Ontario
Pay rate: $20.00 hourly.
Roles and Responsibilities
Assemble event badges, kits, and materials following detailed spreadsheets and guidelines.
Organize materials into different colored packages for various groups.
Ensure accuracy and completeness of all assembled materials.
Assist in maintaining a neat and orderly workspace.
Qualifications and Skills
High school diploma or equivalent.
Prior experience in clerical or event preparation roles is an asset.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to follow directions and work efficiently as part of a team.
Ability to lift and move boxes up to 25 lbs.
