Job Description

Location: Greater Vancouver Area, Hybrid (2 days per week required onsite)

Language: Advanced written and verbal English communication skills required

Duration: 6-month contract with potential for extension based on project needs, performance, and funding approval

About the Opportunity
We are seeking a Senior Business Analyst to join a large-scale cloud transformation initiative within a complex public sector environment. This role offers the opportunity to play a key part in modernizing technology infrastructure by supporting the migration of critical business applications and services to cloud-based platforms.

Working alongside project leaders, technical teams, cloud migration specialists, and business stakeholders, you will help bridge business needs and technical solutions. Your work will directly contribute to improving operational efficiency, strengthening technology capabilities, and enabling long-term digital transformation across the organization.

Your Responsibilities
• You'll lead requirements gathering activities through stakeholder interviews, workshops, and business process analysis
• You'll document and validate business, functional, and non-functional requirements to support cloud migration initiatives
• You'll collaborate with technical teams and external consultants to define migration strategies, inventories, and future-state processes
• You'll support testing activities, including test planning, script development, and User Acceptance Testing (UAT)
• You'll develop business analysis deliverables such as process maps, impact assessments, use cases, training materials, and user documentation
• You'll facilitate stakeholder engagement, decision-making, and change management activities throughout the project lifecycle
• You'll support project governance through reporting, traceability management, risk identification, and documentation control

Skills and Qualifications
• 7+ years of progressive business analysis experience supporting IT projects and technology transformation initiatives
• Minimum 3 years of experience working on cloud migration projects within enterprise environments
• Strong experience gathering, documenting, and validating business and technical requirements
• Experience supporting enterprise system replacement, modernization, or digital transformation projects
• Knowledge of Microsoft Azure, with experience using Azure migration tools considered a strong asset
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, Visio, SharePoint, Confluence, and related collaboration tools
• Excellent analytical, communication, stakeholder engagement, and problem-solving skills
• CBAP or CCBA certification is considered an asset
