About the Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Power BI Data Analyst to support a focused, high-impact audit project within the education sector. This opportunity is ideal for a hands-on professional who can quickly assess an existing environment, understand complex datasets, and deliver a polished reporting solution with minimal ramp-up time.

In this role, you will work closely with stakeholders to transform and model absenteeism-related data into a sustainable Power BI solution. You will engage directly with business users to understand data requirements, ensure data integrity, and create a framework that can be maintained and leveraged long after the project is complete.

Your Responsibilities

  • Review and assess existing Power BI assets, data models and development work completed to date
  • Clean, transform and organize large volumes of absenteeism-related data from multiple sources
  • Build and refine Power BI datasets, data models and reporting structures for long-term use
  • Establish secure processes for managing and uploading sensitive and confidential information
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business requirements, validate data and confirm reporting needs
  • Identify gaps, troubleshoot issues and ensure the final solution is accurate, scalable and ready for handoff

Skills and Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in data analysis, business intelligence or a related field
  • Advanced experience with Microsoft Power BI
  • Strong data cleansing, transformation and validation experience
  • Proven ability to quickly understand and take ownership of existing projects and technical environments
  • Experience working with highly confidential or sensitive data sets
  • Strong stakeholder engagement skills with the ability to gather requirements and explain technical concepts clearly
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving and organizational skills
