About the Opportunity
Our public sector client is seeking a Procurement Specialist to join a collaborative and high-performing procurement team focused on delivering strategic value across the organization. This role offers an opportunity to contribute to complex procurement initiatives while supporting transparency, compliance, and continuous improvement within a regulated environment.
Working closely with internal stakeholders, vendors, and cross-functional teams, you will play a key role in managing procurement activities from planning through contract award. This position is ideal for a procurement professional who enjoys balancing strategic thinking, stakeholder engagement, and hands-on execution, particularly within information technology and consulting services procurements.

Your Responsibilities
• You'll manage end-to-end procurement activities while ensuring compliance with procurement policies, trade agreements, and applicable regulations
• You'll draft RFx documents, evaluation criteria, response templates, and procurement-related documentation, with a focus on IT and consulting services procurements
• You'll partner with internal stakeholders to develop procurement scopes and provide guidance throughout the procurement lifecycle
• You'll coordinate tendering and evaluation activities, including scoring, award notifications, vendor communications, and debrief processes
• You'll support supplier risk management activities through due diligence reviews, risk assessments, and stakeholder coordination
• You'll contribute to procurement process improvements, reporting initiatives, annual procurement planning, and policy development
• You'll maintain procurement records and provide support for internal and external audit requirements
Skills and Qualifications
• 3+ years of procurement experience within a public sector or broader public sector environment, or equivalent project management experience supporting procurement initiatives
• Post-secondary degree in Business Administration, Commerce, Strategic Sourcing, Procurement, or a related discipline
• Demonstrated experience developing and managing RFx documents, particularly for information technology and consulting services procurements
• Experience supporting procurement activities within a government-related environment is required
• Strong knowledge of public procurement principles, compliance requirements, and competitive procurement processes
• Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
• Excellent communication, organizational, and stakeholder management skills, with exceptional attention to detail and the ability to manage competing priorities
