About the Opportunity
Our client, a mission-driven organization operating within a regulated professional services environment, is seeking an Accounts Payable Coordinator to join their finance team on a contract basis. This is an excellent opportunity for an organized and detail-oriented accounting professional who enjoys working in a collaborative environment while maintaining ownership of day-to-day accounts payable operations.
Working alongside a supportive finance team and reporting to the Accounting Supervisor, you will play a key role in ensuring accurate and timely invoice processing, purchase order administration, vendor payments, and month-end support activities. This position offers the flexibility of a fully remote environment while providing exposure to a well-structured accounting function and experienced finance leaders.

Your Responsibilities
- You'll manage full-cycle accounts payable processing, including invoice coding, approvals, payment preparation, and data entry
- You'll administer the purchase order process, ensuring requests are reviewed, tracked, and accurately maintained
- You'll reconcile vendor statements, investigate discrepancies, and support timely issue resolution
- You'll assist with month-end activities by reviewing open purchase orders, identifying accruals, and supporting journal entry preparation
- You'll maintain accurate records and supporting documentation for audit and reporting purposes
- You'll collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure financial processes are completed accurately and on schedule
Skills and Qualifications
- 1-3 years of accounts payable experience in a high-volume environment
- Experience performing full-cycle AP functions from invoice receipt through payment processing
- Exposure to purchase orders, vendor reconciliations, and month-end support activities
- Experience using accounting software; QuickBooks Online experience is considered an asset
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Collaborative approach with the confidence to ask questions and learn new processes quickly
