About the Opportunity
An established and growing property management organization is seeking a General Manager - Residential Operations to lead its residential portfolio operations in Ottawa. This leadership role will oversee a diverse and expanding portfolio of approximately 1,000 residential units, while supporting the continued growth and operational success of the rental division.

Your Responsibilities
• You’ll oversee a team of Property Managers, Property Administrators, and Leasing Agents to ensure operational excellence across the residential portfolio
• You’ll lead leasing strategy initiatives, including pricing, occupancy management, marketing, and tenant retention efforts
• In this role, you’ll serve as a primary point of contact for property owners and stakeholders, providing operational updates and financial reporting support
• You’ll review budgets, financial statements, purchase orders, and invoice approvals while partnering closely with accounting teams
• You’ll support the onboarding of new residential properties and contribute to portfolio growth initiatives
• You’ll collaborate with maintenance, leasing, and accounting teams to ensure a seamless resident and client experience
• You’ll lead escalated tenant, client, and operational matters with professionalism and urgency
Skills and Qualifications
• 7+ years of progressive residential property management experience, including leadership of multi-residential portfolios
• Proven experience leading property management and leasing teams within a residential rental environment
• Strong financial acumen with experience reviewing budgets, financial statements, owner reports, and operational variances
• Demonstrated expertise in leasing strategy, occupancy management, and tenant relations
• Strong knowledge of Ontario rental legislation and industry best practices
• Experience working with developers, property owners, and multiple stakeholders in a fast-paced environment
• Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills with an entrepreneurial mindset
