About the Opportunity
Our client in the retail sector is seeking a Senior Business Systems Analyst to play a key role in a high-profile technology transformation initiative focused on RFID implementation and retail systems integration. This is an opportunity to join a fast-moving project entering a critical execution phase, where your ability to drive clarity, alignment, and delivery will have a direct impact on business outcomes.

Working closely with Product, Engineering, Retail Operations, and external vendor partners, you will bridge the gap between business needs and technical solutions across a complex ecosystem of retail technologies. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys solving complex challenges, engaging stakeholders at all levels, and operating independently in a dynamic environment.

Your Responsibilities
• You'll lead requirements discovery sessions and translate business needs into detailed user stories, functional specifications, and acceptance criteria
• You'll document end-to-end workflows, system integrations, data mappings, and process flows across multiple retail platforms
• In this role, you'll collaborate closely with business stakeholders, engineering teams, QA, and external vendors to drive solution delivery
• You'll proactively facilitate workshops, identify dependencies, and drive stakeholder alignment to keep delivery on track
• You'll support sprint planning, backlog refinement, testing activities, and solution validation throughout the project lifecycle
• You'll create and maintain clear documentation, ensuring requirements remain traceable from discovery through implementation

 

Skills and Qualifications
• 5+ years of Business Systems Analysis experience within complex, multi-system retail or supply chain environments
• Strong experience gathering requirements and translating business needs into user stories with clearly defined acceptance criteria
• Proven expertise in systems integration, data mapping, process modeling, and cross-platform solution design
• Experience working with retail technology ecosystems including POS, ERP, inventory management, omnichannel, or related platforms
• Ability to operate independently while managing relationships across business and technical stakeholder groups
• Strong experience using Jira and Confluence with a disciplined approach to documentation and traceability
• RFID implementation experience is highly preferred, with additional experience supporting retail technology transformation initiatives considered an asset
