About the Opportunity
A growing manufacturing and packaging organization in Aurora is looking for a Recruitment Assistant to support a high-volume hiring initiative across multiple business areas. This is an excellent opportunity for a student, recent graduate, or early-career professional looking to gain hands-on recruitment experience in a collaborative and supportive environment.
Working closely with the hiring team, you’ll play a key role in coordinating recruitment efforts for a variety of positions, including production, logistics, project coordination, and marketing roles. Your Responsibilities
• You’ll review and filter resumes within the applicant tracking system to identify qualified candidates
• In this role, you’ll conduct phone screenings using pre-developed interview questions and assess communication skills and fit
• You’ll coordinate and schedule interviews between candidates and hiring managers
• You’ll support recruitment activities for a variety of operational and corporate positions
• You’ll provide interview feedback and assist with recruitment administration, including offer letter support when needed
• You’ll collaborate closely with hiring managers to understand role requirements and hiring priorities
Skills and Qualifications
• Previous co-op, internship, or entry-level experience in recruitment/HR
• Strong communication skills with the confidence to speak with candidates professionally
• Comfortable learning new systems and working within an applicant tracking system, experience with Workable is an asset
• Friendly, proactive, and eager to learn in a fast-paced environment
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple recruitment activities at once
• Curious mindset with the ability to ask thoughtful questions and think creatively
