About the Opportunity
An established infrastructure and construction organization is seeking a Sr. Data Steward to join its Enterprise Analytics and Data Governance team. This is an opportunity to play a meaningful role in shaping how enterprise data is governed, documented, and leveraged across a large and evolving organization that supports critical infrastructure projects across North America.

In this role, you’ll collaborate closely with Information Services, business leaders, and technical teams to strengthen data quality, governance practices, and enterprise data literacy. You’ll help create a more trusted and discoverable data environment while supporting modernization initiatives that improve how teams access and use information to drive decision-making.

Your Responsibilities
• You’ll maintain and evolve the enterprise Business Glossary and Data Dictionary, ensuring consistency and clarity across critical business data elements
• In this role, you’ll partner with Information Services and business stakeholders to steward metadata, data lineage, and enterprise data inventories
• You’ll collaborate with data owners and Information Security teams to support data classification and governance standards
• You’ll support data discovery efforts by validating data sources, contextual meaning, and fitness for use across analytical environments
• You’ll document, track, and resolve data quality and governance issues raised by business users and stakeholders
• In this role, you’ll work closely with Data Analysts, Engineers, and SMEs to improve governed data access and strengthen enterprise data literacy

Skills and Qualifications
• 3+ years of experience in Data Governance, Data Management, or Data Analysis roles
• Undergraduate degree in Computer Science, Information Management, Business Technology Management, or a related discipline
• Hands-on experience with metadata management, data cataloging, master data management, and enterprise data quality practices
• Experience with governance and MDM platforms such as IBM Match 360, IBM Watsonx Data Intelligence, Collibra, Alation, or Informatica
• Working knowledge of SQL and data modeling concepts is considered an asset
• Strong communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences
• Exceptional attention to detail, documentation abilities, and experience working cross-functionally in complex environments
