About the Opportunity

Our client is seeking a hands-on Director, IT Infrastructure & Security to lead the evolution of its enterprise technology environment. Reporting to the VP of Technical Services, this role will play a critical part in strengthening infrastructure performance, advancing cybersecurity maturity, and ensuring highly available voice and cloud systems that support a fast-paced operational environment.

This is an opportunity for a technical leader who enjoys balancing strategy with execution. You will work closely with internal IT teams, operational stakeholders, and executive leadership to modernize infrastructure, improve system reliability, optimize cloud and telecom spend, and champion security best practices across the organization. Your Responsibilities

• You’ll lead the planning and execution of infrastructure and security strategies that support organizational growth and operational reliability

• In this role, you’ll oversee enterprise cloud environments, voice infrastructure, networking, and systems administration across distributed operations

• You’ll establish and report on KPIs including uptime, MTTR, telecom performance, vulnerability remediation, and cloud spend optimization

• You’ll drive security initiatives including SOC 2 compliance readiness, incident response planning, vulnerability management, and endpoint protection

• You’ll mentor and support internal IT teams while fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement

• You’ll identify infrastructure risks, technical debt, and modernization opportunities while recommending scalable solutions

 

Skills and Qualifications

• 5+ years of leadership experience in IT infrastructure, cloud operations, and cybersecurity

• Strong hands-on expertise with AWS services including EC2, VPC, IAM, S3, Route 53, and RDS

• Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation

• Deep understanding of networking, firewalls, VPNs, load balancing, and voice/telecom infrastructure within distributed environments

• Experience supporting security operations including SIEM, EDR, vulnerability management, penetration testing, and incident response

• Knowledge of SOC 2, PCI-DSS, HIPAA, and protection of sensitive customer data

• Strong leadership, communication, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills
