Location: Remote (with in-person interview and first week of onboarding/training) has to be within the Toronto location

About the Opportunity

We are seeking an HR Project Assistant to support a series of important HR and policy-related initiatives within a growing organization. This role is heavily project-focused and ideal for someone with an HR or policy background who enjoys organization, document review, and process improvement.

You will work closely with leadership on confidential projects, including the relaunch of key HR policy documents and employee records cleanup. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to gain hands-on experience in HR operations, policy coordination, and project support in a highly flexible remote environment.

Your Responsibilities

  • You will support the relaunch and review of HR policy and employee handbook documentation
  • You will audit employee files and folders to ensure records are complete, organized, and compliant
  • You will follow up with employees and internal stakeholders to collect missing documentation
  • You will clean up and organize folders within SharePoint and other internal systems
  • You will assist with formatting, reviewing, and maintaining confidential HR documents
  • You will support additional HR and project-based tasks as needed

Skills and Qualifications

  • You will have an HR, policy, or administrative background (students and recent graduates welcome)
  • You will have strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • You will have experience working with Microsoft Office and SharePoint
  • You will have the ability to handle confidential information with professionalism and discretion
  • You will have strong written communication skills and comfort reviewing documents and policies
  • You will have the ability to work independently and complete tasks efficiently in a remote environment

Additional Details

  • Compensation: $23–$25/hour (flexibility for stronger profiles)
  • Work Model: remote after initial onboarding/training week
  • Hours: 35-hour work week
