About the Opportunity
An established student-focused non-profit organization is seeking a Bilingual Director of Communications & Student Engagement to lead strategic communications initiatives that engage and inform a vibrant post-secondary community. Supporting a fast-paced and collaborative environment, this role plays a key part in amplifying student voices, strengthening awareness of programs and services, and building meaningful connections across campus.

Working closely with leadership and a creative student team, you will shape messaging, guide communications planning, and ensure consistent branding across multiple channels. Your Responsibilities

  • You’ll lead the development and execution of organization-wide communications strategies, campaigns, and initiatives
  • In this role, you’ll provide strategic communications advice to leadership, programs, and internal stakeholders
  • You’ll create and oversee engaging multi-channel content across print, digital, web, and social media platforms
  • You’ll manage communication calendars, branding standards, and accessible communication practices
  • In collaboration with creative contributors, you’ll mentor photographers, designers, translators, and web specialists to ensure quality and consistency
  • You’ll support media relations activities, prepare briefing materials, and conduct communications analysis and reporting
  • You’ll contribute to crisis communications planning, performance measurement, and budget management activities

Skills and Qualifications

  • 3+ years of progressive experience in communications, public relations, marketing, or a related field
  • Fully bilingual in English and French, with exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • Post-secondary education in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, or a related discipline
  • Previous supervisory or management experience required
  • Demonstrated experience leading teams and managing multiple projects and priorities simultaneously
  • Strong graphic design capabilities and proficiency with graphic design tools
  • Experience developing and executing integrated communications campaigns across multiple channels
  • Experience within a post-secondary, student-focused, or not-for-profit environment is considered an asset
  • Knowledge of photography, web design, digital analytics, and information technology systems is an asset
