About the Opportunity
An established telecommunications and technology organization is seeking an Intermediate Java Developer to support enterprise application development initiatives across integrated telecom and business systems. This role will contribute to projects focused on enhancing internal platforms, modernizing existing applications, and supporting complex enterprise environments that serve both internal teams and external users.

Working alongside cross-functional technical and business teams, you’ll play a key role in designing, developing, and maintaining scalable backend solutions within a highly collaborative Agile environment. Your Responsibilities
• You’ll design, develop, and maintain enterprise Java applications and backend services using Spring Boot and related technologies
• In this role, you’ll collaborate with technical teams and business stakeholders to translate requirements into scalable solutions
• You’ll develop and unit test APIs, integrations, and database-driven applications within complex enterprise environments
• You’ll troubleshoot, debug, and remediate technical issues across integrated systems and applications
• You’ll participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, stand-ups, retrospectives, and peer code reviews
• You’ll contribute to technical documentation, solution design artifacts, and knowledge-sharing initiatives

Skills and Qualifications
• 5+ years of progressive Java development experience supporting medium to large enterprise applications
• Hands-on experience with Spring Boot, REST/SOAP APIs, Hibernate/JPA, Maven, Git, and SQL databases
• Experience working with enterprise application servers and integrated systems, including exposure to JBoss and JSF environments
• Strong understanding of Agile delivery methodologies and software development lifecycle best practices
• Experience supporting telecommunications, ISP, fibre, wireless, or other highly integrated enterprise environments is considered a strong asset
• Strong communication skills with the ability to work directly with business users and cross-functional teams
• Ability to manage competing priorities and contribute effectively within collaborative delivery teams
