About the Opportunity

Reporting to senior leadership, you'll combine hands-on financial management with strategic insight to help guide important business decisions.

Your Responsibilities

• You'll lead the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close process while ensuring accurate and timely reporting.
• You'll oversee budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, and financial planning to support organizational goals.
• You'll partner with operational leaders to provide project analysis, job costing insights, profitability reporting, and business recommendations.
• You'll manage payroll, accounts payable, accounts receivable, treasury, tax compliance, and external audit coordination.
• You'll strengthen financial controls, improve accounting processes, and champion automation, AI, and technology initiatives that enhance efficiency and reporting.
• You'll coach and develop a small finance team while contributing as a valued member of the leadership team.

Skills and Qualifications

• 5+ years of progressive accounting and financial leadership experience.
• CPA designation, or equivalent professional accounting credentials, is considered a strong asset.
• Strong knowledge of ASPE, financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management.
• Experience with project accounting, job costing, and work-in-progress reporting, preferably within construction or a project-based environment.
• Advanced Excel skills and experience with accounting and business management systems.
• Strong analytical, communication, and relationship-building skills, with the ability to collaborate across multiple business functions.
• A continuous improvement mindset with an interest in leveraging technology and automation to enhance business performance.
