Our client, a respected organization in the healthcare sector, is seeking a detail-oriented Medical Secretary to support a busy physician practice in downtown Toronto. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced clinical environment and enjoys being the first point of contact for patients and visitors.

You will play a key role in ensuring the smooth day-to-day operations of the clinic, supporting both patients and healthcare professionals. Working closely with physicians and administrative staff, your contributions will directly impact patient care and overall clinic efficiency.

Your Responsibilities

  • You’ll greet and assist patients and visitors, creating a welcoming and professional front desk experience
  • In this role, you’ll coordinate appointment scheduling, procedures, and maintain an accurate clinical calendar
  • You’ll manage patient charts, documentation, and ensure records are up to date within the EMR system
  • You’ll register patients and support data entry with a high level of accuracy
  • You’ll communicate with referring physicians, coordinating referrals, lab reports, and correspondence
  • You’ll collaborate with administrative staff to ensure smooth clinic operations

Skills and Qualifications

  • 1 to 2 years of medical administrative or secretarial experience
  • Experience with Accuro and EPIC EMR systems is highly preferred
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent customer service and patient-facing experience
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask effectively
  • Proven problem-solving abilities in a fast-paced environment
