About the Opportunity
This Property Manager opportunity offers a hands-on leadership role overseeing a diverse portfolio of commercial and industrial properties across a major Canadian market. You will play a key role in ensuring buildings operate efficiently, tenants are supported, and projects are delivered with quality and care.
Working closely with senior leadership and a dedicated maintenance team, the Property Manager will help drive operational excellence across multiple sites including office, retail, and industrial spaces. Your ability to balance day-to-day operations with long-term planning will directly impact tenant satisfaction and asset performance.

Your Responsibilities
• You’ll oversee day-to-day building operations, ensuring maintenance activities are completed efficiently across multiple properties
• You’ll lead and support maintenance staff, including supervising a coordinator and conducting regular team meetings
• You’ll manage vendor relationships, including contracts for HVAC, cleaning, landscaping, snow removal, and other essential services
• You’ll review and approve work orders, purchase orders, and quotes, ensuring cost control and quality standards
• You’ll coordinate and administer capital and construction projects, including tenant fit-ups, roofing, paving, and major system upgrades
• You’ll conduct regular site inspections and respond to tenant inquiries and operational issues
• You’ll contribute to budgeting, financial tracking, and reporting, including variance analysis and capital planning
Skills and Qualifications
• 2-3+ years of progressive experience in building operations or property management
• Strong knowledge of commercial building systems including HVAC and maintenance programs
• Experience managing vendors, service contracts, and capital projects
• Familiarity with property management systems such as Yardi is considered an asset
• Financial acumen, including budgeting, forecasting, and cost tracking
• Proven leadership skills with the ability to manage teams and prioritize competing demands
• Strong communication and problem-solving abilities
