About the Opportunity

Our client, a global leader in the renewable energy and infrastructure space, is seeking a Manager, External Financial Reporting to play a key role in shaping high-quality public reporting and technical accounting practices. You will work closely with senior finance leaders, cross-functional teams, and global stakeholders, acting as a trusted advisor on financial reporting and accounting matters. Your Responsibilities

  • You’ll lead the preparation and review of quarterly and annual consolidated financial statements in accordance with IFRS
  • You’ll oversee Management’s Discussion and Analysis, ensuring clarity, accuracy, and meaningful business insights
  • In this role, you’ll act as a key advisor to senior leadership on financial results, variances, and technical accounting matters
  • You’ll guide technical accounting assessments for complex transactions and ensure consistent application of standards
  • You’ll collaborate with auditors and cross-functional teams to support efficient and accurate reporting cycles
  • You’ll coach and develop a team of analysts, fostering technical growth and strong performance


Skills and Qualifications

  • 5+ years of progressive experience in financial reporting, including public company or Big 4 environment
  • CPA designation or equivalent, with strong knowledge of IFRS and financial statement preparation
  • Experience preparing or reviewing MD&A and interpreting non-IFRS metrics such as EBITDA or cash flow
  • Demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities in a deadline-driven environment
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to translate complex accounting concepts clearly
  • Proven leadership capability, with experience coaching or mentoring team members
