Corporate Accountant

Location: Toronto, ON, Hybrid, 3 days onsite
Compensation: $65,000 - $75,000 Base + Benefits, 3 weeks vacation time
Language: Strong written and verbal English communication required

Our client, a well-established organization within the financial services and wealth management space, is seeking a Corporate Accountant to join their collaborative finance team in Toronto. Reporting directly to the CFO, you’ll support day-to-day accounting operations across multiple entities while contributing to month-end processes, regulatory reporting, reconciliations, and financial administration. Your Responsibilities

  • You’ll support month-end accounting activities, including journal entries, reconciliations, and financial reporting tasks
  • In this role, you’ll assist with monthly regulatory reporting requirements within a regulated environment
  • You’ll maintain and update accounting records and continuity schedules across multiple entities
  • You’ll support accounts receivable processes and assist with general accounting administration
  • In this role, you’ll assist with quarterly commission calculations and related reporting
  • You’ll work closely with the CFO and finance team to support audits, reporting requests, and special projects
  • You’ll utilize QuickBooks Desktop, Excel, and internal systems to support daily accounting operations

Skills and Qualifications

  • 2+ years of progressive accounting or bookkeeping experience
  • Hands-on experience with QuickBooks or similar accounting systems
  • Strong understanding of reconciliations, month-end processes, and general accounting principles
  • Intermediate Excel skills with strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Experience working in a professional, deadline-driven environment
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Educational background in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline is preferred
