About the Opportunity
Our client in the broader public sector is undertaking a large-scale digital transformation, modernizing legacy systems and reimagining how technology supports business operations. As a Salesforce Architect, you will play a central role in shaping this transformation, guiding the migration of complex, custom-built applications onto the Salesforce platform.
You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including business leaders, developers, and external partners, to design scalable, future-ready solutions. This is an opportunity to influence enterprise architecture decisions while remaining hands-on, ensuring solutions are both strategic and practical.
What’s In It for You
Join a forward-thinking organization committed to innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement. You’ll work alongside experienced professionals in an environment that values knowledge sharing, mentorship, and thoughtful decision-making.
This role offers the chance to make a meaningful impact on enterprise systems while expanding your expertise across the Salesforce ecosystem and modern integration frameworks.
Your Responsibilities
- Evaluate legacy applications and conduct detailed gap analyses to align business needs with Salesforce capabilities
- Design scalable Salesforce architectures, including data models, security frameworks, and integration strategies
- Lead solution design efforts, recommending a mix of native features, custom development, and third-party tools
- Mentor developers and administrators, promoting best practices and architectural standards
- Architect integrations with enterprise systems using APIs, middleware, and event-driven patterns
- Collaborate with stakeholders to translate business requirements into clear technical solutions and decisions
Skills and Qualifications
- 7+ years of hands-on Salesforce experience, including 3+ years in an architect or senior technical lead role
- Deep practical expertise across key Salesforce clouds: Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, and at least one of Experience Cloud, Field Service, or Revenue Cloud.
- Skilled in Salesforce declarative features: Flows, Process Builder (legacy), validation rules, approval workflows, and formula-based fields.
- Strong development capabilities in Apex, Lightning Web Components (LWC), and SOQL.
- Experience designing Salesforce data models: object relationships, handling large data volumes, managing data skew, and implementing archiving approaches.
- Understanding of Salesforce security and access control model: profiles, permission sets, organization-wide defaults, sharing rules, and field-level permissions.
Preferred Qualifications
- Salesforce Certified Application Architect or System Architect (or both, i.e., Certified Technical Architect track).
- Additional credentials such as Platform Developer I/II, Integration Architecture Designer, Data Architecture Designer, or related Salesforce Cloud Consultant certifications.
- Experience transitioning legacy CRM systems, case management platforms, or custom-developed workflow solutions onto Salesforce.
- Exposure to Salesforce Industries (formerly Vlocity) offerings, including Communications, Financial Services Cloud, or Health Cloud.
- Familiarity with Heroku or Salesforce Functions to extend platform processing capabilities.
