About the Opportunity
Our client, a growing organization in the consumer goods sector, is seeking a hands-on Financial Controller to step into a critical role during a transition period. Reporting directly to the President, you will take ownership of day-to-day financial operations while supporting strategic decision-making as the organization approaches its fiscal year-end.

Your Responsibilities
• You’ll prepare monthly financial statements and internal reports for two entities
• You’ll lead budgeting and forecasting efforts for the upcoming fiscal year
• You’ll oversee daily financial operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and cash flow management
• You’ll supervise a small, experienced AP and AR team, ensuring smooth day-to-day processes
• You’ll support year-end activities, including liaising with external auditors
• You’ll ensure compliance with regulatory filings, including HST submissions
Skills and Qualifications
• 5+ years of accounting experience, ideally in a Controller or Senior Accountant capacity
• Proven experience managing the full accounting cycle, including month-end and financial statement preparation
• Strong background in budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis
• Experience supervising junior accounting staff
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, hands-on environment
• Familiarity with Sage 300 or similar ERP systems is considered an asset
