About the Opportunity
Our client, a fast-growing organization in the environmental services sector, is seeking a Senior Finance Manager, Acquisition Integration to play a key role in post-acquisition success. This position sits at the intersection of finance, operations, and transformation, supporting the integration of newly acquired businesses into a dynamic and evolving organization.
You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including Finance, Legal, Tax, and Operations to ensure seamless transitions following acquisitions. Your Responsibilities
- You'll lead accounting system integrations and ERP conversions for newly acquired entities, ensuring accurate and efficient transitions from legacy platforms into standardized financial environments
- You'll partner closely with cross-functional teams, including finance, operations, legal, and external advisors, to support acquisition integration activities and align financial reporting requirements
- You'll support technical accounting and acquisition accounting processes, including purchase price accounting, post-close adjustments, and related financial analysis
- You'll manage and reconcile trial balances, validate financial data integrity, and resolve discrepancies across multiple entities and systems
- You'll analyze and interpret complex financial documentation and accounting records in both English and French to support integration and reporting activities
- You'll contribute to the continuous improvement of integration processes, systems, and controls
- You’ll communicate financial changes clearly to stakeholders, ensuring alignment and understanding across teams
- You’ll help train and guide newly integrated finance teams, setting them up for long-term success
Skills and Qualifications
- 5+ years of progressive experience in technical accounting; Big 4/Public Accounting training strongly preferred
- Bilingual in English and French, with the ability to interpret complex financial and legal documentation in both languages
- CPA designation required
- Demonstrated experience with financial systems and data integrations in various ERP systems
- Strong knowledge of Canadian accounting standards; acquisition accounting practices considered an asset
- Proven ability to work cross-functionally and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills, with a collaborative and adaptable approach
- Exposure to acquisition accounting, M&A, transaction advisory, or related consulting work is considered an asset
