About the Opportunity

Our client, a fast-growing organization in the environmental services sector, is seeking a Director of Finance Integration to play a key role in post-acquisition success. This position sits at the intersection of finance, operations, and transformation, supporting the integration of newly acquired businesses into a dynamic and evolving organization.

You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including Finance, Legal, Tax, and Operations to ensure seamless transitions following acquisitions. This is a hands-on, people-first environment where your expertise will directly shape systems, processes, and team capabilities, while helping build a more efficient and scalable future.

Your Responsibilities

  • You’ll lead accounting system integrations and conversions, supporting transitions from legacy systems to modern platforms such as Sage 300
  • In this role, you’ll manage trial balance reconciliations and ensure accuracy across multiple acquired entities
  • You’ll support purchase price accounting, including valuations, journal entries, and post-close adjustments
  • You’ll collaborate with internal teams and external advisors to align financial, legal, and operational requirements
  • You’ll communicate financial changes clearly to stakeholders, ensuring alignment and understanding across teams
  • You’ll help train and guide newly integrated teams, setting them up for long-term success

 

Skills and Qualifications

  • 7+ years of progressive experience in acquisition accounting, transaction advisory, or related consulting work
  • CPA designation required, CBV considered an asset
  • Strong knowledge of Canadian accounting standards, including acquisition accounting practices
  • Demonstrated experience with financial systems and data integrations, Sage 300 experience is an asset
  • Bilingual in English and French, with the ability to interpret complex financial and legal documentation in both languages
  • Proven ability to work cross-functionally and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills, with a collaborative and adaptable approach
