About the Opportunity
Our client, a well-established organization in the non-profit and community services space, is seeking a Payroll & Benefits Business Partner to play a critical role in supporting a growing, people-first workforce. This position is ideal for someone who thrives in a compliance-driven environment and takes pride in delivering accurate, timely payroll that directly impacts employees’ day-to-day experience.
You will join a collaborative HR and Finance team that values accountability, precision, and continuous improvement. Supporting a workforce of approximately 400 employees across Ontario, your work will ensure employees are paid accurately and that benefits administration is handled with care, consistency, and compliance.

Your Responsibilities
• You’ll own end-to-end semi-monthly payroll processing for Ontario-based employees, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
• You’ll ensure full compliance with CRA regulations, including CPP, EI, and applicable provincial legislation
• You’ll lead payroll audits and maintain strong internal controls, reconciliations, and documentation
• You’ll manage complex payroll elements such as retroactive pay, benefits deductions, and statutory remittances
• You’ll act as the Dayforce system owner, supporting configuration, reporting, and process improvements
• You’ll administer employee benefits programs, including enrollments, changes, and vendor coordination
Skills and Qualifications
• 2–3 years of full-cycle payroll experience in an Ontario environment with strong compliance focus
• PCP designation is required, PLP is considered an asset
• Experience with payroll systems such as Dayforce and strong Excel skills
• Solid understanding of CRA regulations, payroll legislation, and audit processes
• High attention to detail with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally
