About the Opportunity
This is a hands-on Human Resources Coordinator opportunity within a collaborative, people-first public sector environment. Supporting a lean HR team, you will play a key role across the full employee lifecycle, from recruitment and onboarding to employee support and HR operations. Your work will directly contribute to a well-run, service-driven organization supporting a workforce of approximately 250 employees.
You will work closely with HR leadership and fellow coordinators to deliver consistent, high-quality HR services. This role offers variety and impact, balancing structured processes with opportunities to improve systems, enhance employee experience, and contribute to meaningful HR initiatives across the organization.

Your Responsibilities
• You’ll support full-cycle recruitment, including drafting postings, screening candidates, coordinating interviews, and preparing offers
• You’ll lead onboarding activities, ensuring a smooth and welcoming experience for new hires
• You’ll manage HR transactions and maintain accurate employee records across HRIS systems
• You’ll respond to employee inquiries, providing timely support and escalating when needed
• You’ll coordinate employee programs and initiatives, including engagement and internal events
• You’ll identify process improvements and support ongoing HR projects and reporting
Skills and Qualifications
• 2+ years of experience in a Human Resources role, ideally with exposure to recruitment and HR operations
• Post-secondary education in Human Resources, Business, or a related field, or equivalent experience
• Experience supporting unionized environments or working with collective agreements is an asset
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to follow and improve established processes
• Proficiency with HRIS systems such as SAP SuccessFactors or ADP is preferred
• Excellent communication, organization, and time management skills in a fast-paced environment
• A proactive, resourceful mindset with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively
