Job Description

Location: Toronto, ON (On-site, Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM)
Language: Strong written and verbal communication skills in English are required
Duration: 3-month contract with potential extension into September
Background Check Requirement: Criminal background check required
Pay Rate: $26/hour

About the Opportunity
Our client, a well-respected organization within the healthcare sector, is seeking an Administrative Assistant to support a busy outpatient clinic focused on mood and anxiety services. This role plays an important part in ensuring patients receive timely and coordinated care through efficient administrative support.

You will work closely with a collaborative clinical team, supporting day-to-day operations behind the scenes. Your Responsibilities
• You’ll coordinate and book patient appointments using internal scheduling systems
• You’ll respond to inbound calls, assisting patients with inquiries in a professional and empathetic manner
• You’ll maintain accurate records and update patient information within systems such as iCare
• In this role, you’ll support administrative workflows to ensure smooth clinic operations
• You may provide occasional backup reception coverage when required

Skills and Qualifications
• 2+ years of administrative experience within a healthcare/medical environment
• Experience with healthcare systems such as iCare is considered a strong asset
• Strong technical skills, with the ability to quickly learn new systems such as Oracle
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
• Strong communication skills, with a professional and patient-focused approach
• Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced clinical setting
