About the Opportunity
Our client, a large and complex public sector organization, is seeking an Intermediate Data Modeler to support the development of a modern data warehouse and reporting environment. Working alongside a Data Architect and cross-functional teams, you will play a key role in shaping how data is structured, accessed, and leveraged across the organization.
This is a hands-on role focused on building and deploying data models rather than designing high-level architecture. You will collaborate closely with ETL developers and data teams to ensure models are implemented accurately and efficiently across AWS and Oracle platforms.
What’s In It for You
This is an opportunity to contribute to a high-impact, enterprise data transformation initiative. You will gain exposure to modern cloud data technologies while working in a collaborative, delivery-focused environment that values practical expertise and continuous learning.
You will be part of a team that prioritizes knowledge sharing, supportive leadership, and meaningful project work that directly impacts reporting and decision-making capabilities.
Your Responsibilities
• You’ll support the development of logical and physical data models using Erwin Data Modeler
• You’ll design and deploy relational data models within AWS environments
• You’ll generate DDL scripts and partner closely with ETL teams for implementation
• You’ll work with large-scale datasets transitioning from Oracle into AWS data services
• You’ll ensure data models align with platform architecture and reporting requirements
• You’ll contribute to building a new data warehouse and reporting infrastructure
Skills and Qualifications
• 3-5 years of experience in data modeling, ideally within a data warehouse environment
• Hands-on experience with Erwin or similar data modeling tools
• Strong understanding of relational data modeling concepts
• Proficiency in DDL scripting and deploying data models
• Experience working with AWS services such as Redshift, Athena, S3, and Glue
• Familiarity with Oracle databases
• Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate across technical teams
