This is an urgent contract opportunity for an Administrative Assistant to join a public sector organization delivering essential services within the community. You will play a key front-line support role, ensuring programs run smoothly while providing a welcoming and professional experience for clients accessing services.

Your Responsibilities

  • You will provide reception and administrative support to program staff, management, and clients.
  • In this role, you will liaise with internal teams and external partners, including community agencies and service providers.
  • You will create, track, and maintain reports, statistics, and accountability tools using Excel and other Microsoft 365 applications.
  • You will support the coordination of meetings, consultations, and occasional special events.
  • You will handle sensitive information with care, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with privacy requirements.
  • You will assist with general program and administrative duties as assigned in a high-volume environment.

Skills and Qualifications

  • 2+ years of administrative experience in social services or a related client-focused environment
  • Strong customer service skills, with experience supporting vulnerable populations considered an asset
  • Proven ability to work quickly while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and SharePoint
  • Excellent organization, time management, and communication skills
