Job Description

Bilingual Billing Analyst

Location: Montreal or Toronto, Hybrid, 3 days onsite per week
Compensation: $75,000 to $80,000 annually +Benefits & Bonus
Language: Bilingual, strong written and spoken communication in both French and English required

About the Opportunity
We are partnering with a global professional services organization to hire a Bilingual Billing Analyst who will play a key role in supporting project-based financial operations. This position sits at the intersection of finance and operations, working closely with Project Managers and finance teams to ensure accurate, timely, and strategic billing across a diverse portfolio of projects.

In this role, you will act as a trusted partner to internal stakeholders, providing guidance on billing processes, interpreting contract terms, and ensuring financial integrity across multiple active projects. Your Responsibilities
  • You’ll manage end-to-end project billing, including preparing and issuing invoices aligned with contract terms
  • In this role, you’ll review billing inputs such as hours, rates, and expenses to ensure accuracy and completeness
  • You’ll partner with Project Managers to provide guidance on billing structure, WIP, and financial performance
  • You’ll monitor project financial metrics, including aging WIP, receivables, and cash flow
  • You’ll support reconciliation activities, including sub-consultant billings and cash applications
  • You’ll contribute to forecasting billings and assist with ad hoc financial analysis and reporting
Skills and Qualifications
  • 4+ years of progressive billing or finance experience, ideally within a professional services environment
  • Fluency in both French and English, written and spoken
  • Strong understanding of contract-based billing models, including fixed fee and hourly structures
  • Solid Excel skills, including pivot tables and lookups
  • Ability to work independently while building strong relationships across teams
  • Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities
