About the Opportunity

Our client, a growing organization within the construction and building materials sector, is seeking a Sales & Customer Support Specialist to be the face and voice of their Calgary location. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a customer-facing environment, enjoys building relationships, and can confidently support clients both in person and over the phone.

 

In this role, you will interact daily with customers, contractors and internal sales teams, ensuring they have the information, products and support they need. You will play a key part in creating a positive customer experience and process sales, ensuring orders are accurately entered, fulfilled and delivered on time. You will work closely with customers, contractors, and internal sales teams to understand needs, recommend next steps, and ensure a seamless experience from quote to order completion, while also coordinating logistics behind the scenes.

Your Responsibilities

  • You’ll process and manage customer orders, ensuring accuracy, timeliness and alignment with internal procedures
  • You’ll coordinate with distributors, plants and third-party logistics partners to support order fulfillment and delivery timelines
  • You’ll serve as a key point of contact for customers both in person and over the phone or email, handling product inquiries, order updates and day-to-day support
  • You’ll support sales activities by preparing quotations, coordinating sample requests and maintaining ongoing account communication
  • You’ll collaborate with internal teams, including credit and finance, to support account management and resolve any issues
  • You’ll oversee inbound shipments and assist with logistics coordination, including compliance and documentation requirements
  • You’ll look for ways to improve processes and contribute to a more efficient and seamless customer and order experience
  • Willingness to work off-hours or overtime as needed for logistics deadlines

 

Skills and Qualifications

  • Experience supporting sales activities and managing customer relationships
  • 3-5 years of experience in inside sales or customer service within a product-based or distribution environment
  • Strong organizational and communication skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Comfortable coordinating order workflows, shipments and working with logistics or distribution partners
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office including Excel, Word and PowerPoint and a CRM system such as SAP or Salesforce or similar related system.
  • Secondary school diploma or equivalent required. Post secondary education in Supply chain, Business or similar related field considered an asset
  • Experience within supply chain, construction or building materials is considered an asset.
