Our client, a boutique investment management and family office environment, is seeking a Corporate Accountant to support a growing and highly collaborative team. Your Responsibilities
• You’ll manage day-to-day accounting activities, including general ledger maintenance and transaction posting
• You’ll oversee accounts payable and receivable processes, ensuring timely and accurate payments
• In this role, you’ll perform bank and account reconciliations across multiple entities, including trusts and holding companies
• You’ll support payroll processing, expense reviews, and monthly close activities, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements
• You’ll assist with financial reporting, audits, and tax filings, including HST, EHT, and corporate income tax
• You’ll liaise with banking institutions, CRA, and internal stakeholders on financial and compliance matters
Skills and Qualifications
• 5+ years of progressive accounting or bookkeeping experience, ideally within investment management or a family office
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, with a professional designation preferred
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, corporate tax is an asset
• Experience with SAGE and proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Office tools
• Exceptional attention to detail, with a strong sense of accountability and discretion
• Highly organized, proactive, and able to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment
