Our client, a well-established organization in the corporate sector, is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to design, build, and optimize scalable data solutions that support business intelligence, reporting, and advanced analytics. Your Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable ETL/ELT data pipelines to ingest, transform, and deliver high-quality data.
  • Write, optimize, and troubleshoot complex SQL queries, stored procedures, and database objects to support business and analytical needs.
  • Develop robust data transformation workflows using Python, with a strong emphasis on the Pandas library for data manipulation and processing.
  • Build and maintain enterprise data models, data warehouses, and data marts to support reporting and analytics.
  • Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and integrity through validation, testing, and monitoring processes.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders, analysts, and developers to understand data requirements and deliver scalable solutions.
  • Identify opportunities to improve data pipeline performance, automation, and overall system efficiency.
  • Support data governance initiatives by implementing best practices for data quality, security, and documentation.
  • Contribute to code reviews, technical documentation, and continuous improvement of engineering standards.

Skills and Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience as a Data Engineer, ETL Developer, or similar data-focused role.
  • Advanced SQL skills with demonstrated experience writing and optimizing complex queries against large datasets.
  • Strong Python development experience, including extensive use of the Pandas library for data transformation, cleansing, and analysis.
  • Experience designing and maintaining ETL/ELT pipelines and data integration workflows.
  • Hands-on experience with relational databases such as SQL Server, PostgreSQL, Oracle, or MySQL.
  • Experience working with cloud-based data platforms (Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud) is considered a strong asset.
  • Familiarity with data warehousing concepts, dimensional modeling, and performance optimization.
  • Experience with version control tools such as Git and modern software development practices.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to work effectively across technical and business teams.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with orchestration tools such as Apache Airflow, Azure Data Factory, or similar.
  • Exposure to Spark, PySpark, or distributed data processing frameworks.
  • Experience with Power BI, Tableau, or other business intelligence platforms.
  • Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and automated testing for data engineering solutions.
