About the Opportunity
Our client in the healthcare sector is seeking a Health & Safety Specialist to support a multi-site health care environment. This is a hands-on, people-focused role where your work will directly contribute to the safety and well-being of staff.
Working closely with leadership, you’ll play a key role in strengthening safety practices ahead of an upcoming accreditation. This is an opportunity to bring your expertise into a collaborative environment where your insights will help shape safer workplaces and improve day-to-day operations.

Your Responsibilities
- You’ll conduct mask fit testing for staff and support ongoing compliance initiatives
- You’ll lead training sessions on proper body mechanics, including lifting techniques for clinical teams
- You’ll perform ergonomic assessments and provide practical recommendations
- You’ll develop and implement safety plans, addressing employee concerns and workplace risks
- You’ll support workplace violence prevention initiatives aligned with Ontario legislation
- You’ll assist with Ministry of Labour injury investigations and reporting
Skills and Qualifications
- 3+ years of health and safety experience, preferably within healthcare or similar environments
- Strong understanding of Ontario health and safety legislation, including workplace violence standards
- Experience delivering training sessions and engaging diverse teams
- Knowledge of ergonomic assessments and injury prevention practices
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and respond to safety concerns proactively
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- H&S educational background
