About the Opportunity
This is a meaningful short-term opportunity for an experienced Administrative Assistant to support a busy non-profit organization operating in the social services and child welfare sector. In this role, you will play a key part in ensuring daily operations run smoothly by providing reliable, detail-oriented administrative support.
You will work closely with intake staff, supervisors, and internal partners in a fast-paced and highly confidential environment. Your ability to stay organized, communicate clearly, and manage competing priorities will directly support frontline teams and contribute to the effective delivery of essential community services.

Your Responsibilities
You will screen and respond to telephone inquiries, relay messages, and provide front-line administrative support to internal and external stakeholders.
You will support with filing, documentation, and updating the internal database.
You will prepare correspondence, reports, schedules, and meeting minutes with a high level of accuracy and confidentiality.
You will maintain and update statistical records, case transactions, and administrative schedules using database and spreadsheet tools.
You will provide backup coverage to other administrative or reception functions as required.
You will support staff with basic technology and computer applications and escalate issues when needed.
Skills and Qualifications
2+ years of recent administrative experience, ideally in a high-volume or client-facing environment.
Secondary School Diploma or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Strong proficiency with MS Office, databases, and virtual meeting tools.
Demonstrated ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion.
Excellent organizational, customer service, and communication skills.
Ability to work independently while contributing effectively within a team environment.
