Senior Business Analyst

Location: Remote, with potential on-site work as needed

 Language: English required, written and spoken. French is an asset

 Duration: May to September 30, with multiple extension opportunities

 Security Clearance Requirement: Secret clearance required

About the Opportunity

Our federal public sector client is seeking a Senior Business Analyst to support a major modernization initiative focused on asset sustainability, financial systems, data, reporting, and project portfolio management.

In this role, you’ll work with business, technical, and project teams to improve processes, strengthen decision-making, and support meaningful enterprise change.

Your Responsibilities

  • You’ll facilitate workshops, interviews, and working sessions with key stakeholders.
  • You’ll analyze business processes, systems, data, procedures, and workflows.
  • You’ll document requirements, process maps, data dictionaries, and operating procedures.
  • You’ll support system enhancements, implementation planning, and change management activities.
  • You’ll contribute to project documentation, reporting, risks, schedules, and business cases.

Skills and Qualifications

  • 10+ years of Business Analyst experience, including 5+ years with the Government of Canada.
  • Experience supporting federal financial system projects as a Senior Business Analyst.
  • Experience on large-scale IT transformation or modernization projects.
  • Strong skills in requirements gathering, process mapping, documentation, and stakeholder engagement.
  • BPMN 2.0, Agile, Planview Portfolios, and CBAP certification are considered assets.
