About the Opportunity
This is a unique opportunity to join a public sector regulatory organization focused on protecting the public and upholding professional standards within healthcare. As part of a newly created role, you will play a key part in supporting the intake and monitoring of professional conduct matters, helping ensure fair, timely, and effective processes.

Working closely with experienced leaders in professional conduct, you will engage with a range of stakeholders including members of the public, registrants, and legal professionals. Your work will directly contribute to maintaining trust, accountability, and high standards within a regulated environment.

What’s In It for You
You’ll be part of a collaborative and purpose-driven team that values integrity, thoughtful decision-making, and continuous improvement. This is a workplace that encourages autonomy while offering strong leadership support, where your judgment and attention to detail are truly valued.

You’ll gain exposure to complex regulatory processes, meaningful casework, and opportunities to contribute to process enhancements in a growing team.

Your Responsibilities

  • You’ll support the intake and monitoring of complaints, reports, and professional conduct matters
  • In this role, you’ll act as a key point of contact, responding to inquiries from the public, registrants, and legal stakeholders with professionalism and discretion
  • You’ll prepare, review, and maintain case files, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and compliance with regulatory standards
  • You’ll draft and proofread correspondence, summaries, and documentation for hearings and internal review
  • You’ll analyze information, identify risks, and escalate matters requiring further attention
  • You’ll assist in triaging cases, balancing workload across low-risk and high-risk files

Skills and Qualifications

  • 5+ years of progressive experience in a legal, regulatory, tribunal, or litigation environment
  • Diploma in a Law Clerk program or Paralegal license in good standing in Ontario
  • Experience supporting investigations, intake, or professional discipline processes
  • Strong judgment and ability to manage sensitive, confidential information
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple cases
  • Proficiency with MS Office, Outlook, Teams, SharePoint, and case or CRM systems

Note from the Hiring Manager
“We’re looking for someone who brings sound judgment, curiosity, and a strong sense of accountability. This role is ideal for someone who can work independently, ask the right questions, and confidently manage complex files.”
