  • Job Title: Senior IT Project Manager
    Location: Brampton, ON (Hybrid, 2 days onsite per week)
    Job Type: Contract (7 hours/day), 1 year contract with possible extension

    Compensation: $90–$97/hour


    About the Opportunity

    Our public sector client is seeking a Senior IT Project Manager to support a high-impact Application Portfolio Modernization (APM) program. This initiative focuses on transforming and optimizing a large portfolio of software applications, ensuring they remain secure, efficient, and aligned with evolving business needs.

    In this role, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams including architects, business analysts, and technical specialists to deliver complex application modernization and migration projects. Your work will directly contribute to improving system performance, reducing legacy risks, and enabling long-term digital transformation.

    Your Responsibilities

    • You’ll lead end-to-end delivery of complex application modernization and migration projects
    • You’ll coordinate cross-functional teams and act as the central point of contact for stakeholders, vendors, and technical teams
    • You’ll develop and manage detailed project plans, budgets, timelines, and resource allocations
    • You’ll proactively identify risks related to legacy systems and implement mitigation strategies
    • You’ll oversee UAT, stakeholder communications, and executive reporting

    Skills and Qualifications

    • 5+ years of experience managing large-scale IT projects
    • Strong experience with both Agile and Waterfall methodologies
    • Proven ability to manage budgets, timelines, and project scope
    • Experience with tools such as Microsoft Project
    • Knowledge of IT frameworks such as SDLC, ITIL, or COBIT
