Our client in the payments and financial technology sector is seeking a Senior Solutions Engineering to play a pivotal role in shaping the future of digital payments in Canada. This senior, client-facing position sits at the intersection of Sales, Product, and Customer teams, driving complex solution strategies for a next-generation digital payment platform used by leading financial institutions.
In this role, you will engage early in the sales cycle to define customer use cases, validate solution fit, and guide the technical strategy behind high-impact opportunities. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to design integrations, build prototypes, and ensure that solutions align with both customer outcomes and evolving product capabilities.
This is an opportunity to influence the evolution of a national-scale digital payment ecosystem while working alongside experienced product, engineering, and client teams. You’ll lead technical discovery and solution qualification for complex client opportunities in partnership with Sales and Client Relationship teams.
In this role, you’ll design and present solution architectures, demos, and proof-of-concepts that demonstrate business value and technical feasibility.
You’ll assess integration requirements, risks, and dependencies, providing clear recommendations to clients and internal stakeholders.
You’ll contribute to strategic deal pursuits, including RFP responses and opportunity planning aligned to customer outcomes.
You’ll collaborate closely with Product teams, translating field insights into actionable product feedback and roadmap input.
12+ years of experience in Solutions Engineering, Sales Engineering, Consulting, or related client-facing technical roles.
Strong knowledge of digital payments ecosystems, APIs, and system integrations.
Demonstrated experience supporting enterprise sales cycles with solution design, demos, and proof-of-concepts.
Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and executive audiences.
Experience working cross-functionally with Sales, Product, and Delivery teams in a fintech or payments environment.
