About the Opportunity
Our client, a respected healthcare organization within a retirement living environment, is seeking a Medical Secretary to support a busy health centre team. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a patient-facing environment and enjoys being the central point of coordination for both staff and residents.
You will work closely with physicians, residents, and care teams to ensure smooth day-to-day operations. This is a highly visible and people-focused role where your ability to stay organized, responsive, and compassionate will have a direct impact on resident care and overall experience.

Your Responsibilities
• You’ll coordinate daily administrative operations within the health centre, acting as the primary point of contact for residents and staff
• You’ll manage scheduling and staffing updates using Kronos, ensuring coverage and communicating changes across teams
• You’ll utilize PointClickCare to process physician orders, including lab work and resident updates
• You’ll communicate with residents and families regarding appointments and updates using Outlook
• You’ll provide front-line support by assisting residents with inquiries and directing concerns to the appropriate care providers
• You’ll maintain accurate documentation and support general clerical tasks to keep operations running smoothly
Skills and Qualifications
• 2+ years of administrative experience in a healthcare or medical setting
• Hands-on experience with PointClickCare and Kronos, this is a really strong asset
• Strong interpersonal skills with a customer-focused and compassionate approach
• Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage competing priorities
• Comfortable working fully on-site in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
