Altis Recruitment is partnering with a well-established national organization supporting a critical Canadian industry. 

We are seeking an experienced IT Procurement Specialist to support enterprise-level contracting initiatives. This role is ideal for a procurement professional with deep experience in IT sourcing and contracting within large, complex organizations.

Your Responsibilities
  • You will lead end-to-end procurement and contracting activities for IT categories, including hardware, software, and SaaS solutions.
  • You will develop and manage RFx processes, including preparation, evaluation, negotiations, and contract award.
  • You will support sourcing strategies for complex IT solutions within a large enterprise environment.
  • You will conduct spend analysis, market research, and category planning to inform procurement decisions.
  • You will collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand business needs and align procurement strategies accordingly.
  • You will manage vendor relationships and support contract negotiations to ensure optimal outcomes.
  • You will develop procurement tools, templates, and guides to enhance process efficiency and consistency.
  • You will support contracting activities across additional indirect categories as required.

Skills and Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in IT procurement and contracting within large enterprise environments.
  • Proven experience sourcing and contracting for IT categories, including hardware, software, and SaaS solutions.
  • 7+ years of experience managing RFx processes, contract negotiations, and end-to-end procurement activities.
  • Experience supporting organizations of similar size and complexity, with the ability to navigate large-scale stakeholder environments.
  • Strong analytical skills, including experience with spend analysis, market analysis, and category strategy development.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and complex procurement initiatives.
  • Experience working with indirect procurement categories is considered an asset.
  • Post-secondary education in Procurement, Supply Chain Management, or a related field, or a recognized certification/designation (e.g., SCMP or equivalent).
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills.
  • Professional references required to validate experience and work ethic.
