About the Opportunity

Our client is seeking an experienced Power BI Report Developer to support enterprise-level business intelligence initiatives within a structured and collaborative environment. This role plays a key part in designing scalable semantic models, delivering high-quality dashboards, and transforming complex data into actionable insights that inform operational and strategic decision-making.

You’ll work closely with business stakeholders and technical teams to translate reporting requirements into sustainable data solutions. The ideal candidate is confident in both the technical architecture behind Power BI and the user experience that brings analytics to life.

What’s In It for You

This opportunity offers the chance to contribute to impactful reporting solutions while working within a collaborative, governance-focused environment. You’ll gain exposure to enterprise-scale data platforms, modern Power BI deployment practices, and broader Power Platform initiatives. It’s a strong fit for someone who enjoys balancing technical depth with stakeholder engagement.

Your Responsibilities

  • You’ll design and develop scalable Power BI semantic models using best practices such as star schema design, DAX optimization, and incremental refresh.

  • In this role, you’ll build interactive dashboards and reports from concept through deployment, ensuring performance and usability.

  • You’ll collaborate directly with business partners to gather requirements and translate them into meaningful KPIs and visual outputs.

  • You’ll perform data profiling and validation to ensure data quality and integrity across SQL-based sources.

  • You’ll support BI governance standards including documentation, version control, deployment pipelines, and security practices such as row-level security.

  • You may assist with lightweight Power Apps or Power Platform integrations to enhance reporting workflows.

Skills and Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in BI development with a strong focus on enterprise data modeling and Power BI.

  • Proven expertise in DAX, Power Query, tabular modeling, and reusable semantic model design.

  • Strong SQL proficiency with experience working across relational databases such as SQL Server or Azure SQL.

  • Experience deploying content through Power BI Service, workspaces, and deployment pipelines.

  • Demonstrated ability to translate business requirements into scalable analytical solutions.

  • Exposure to Power Apps or Power Automate is considered an asset.
