Our client is looking for an experienced AWS Cloud Engineer to support the design and operation of secure, scalable, and well-governed cloud environments. This role sits at the intersection of cloud governance, security, and automation, making it a great fit for someone who enjoys building structure and guardrails that enable teams to move faster and more safely.
You’ll work closely with cloud, security, and platform teams to strengthen AWS governance models, improve identity and access management, and automate infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code. Your work will directly support compliance, operational reliability, and long-term cloud maturity across the organization.
You’ll join a collaborative, cloud-first environment that values strong engineering practices and thoughtful design. This role offers hands-on exposure to multi-account AWS environments, security-focused cloud architecture, and automation at scale, all within a flexible contract model that supports balance and autonomy.
You’ll develop and enforce AWS governance frameworks, ensuring compliance with organizational and industry standards.
In this role, you’ll design and manage AWS Organizations structures, including multi-account strategies, guardrails, and SCPs.
You’ll create and maintain IAM roles, policies, permission boundaries, and identity federation models using least-privilege principles.
You’ll build and manage cloud infrastructure using Terraform, creating reusable and version-controlled IaC modules.
You’ll automate cloud operations and workflows using Python and integrate automation into CI/CD pipelines.
You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams to design secure AWS solutions and troubleshoot cloud infrastructure issues.
You’ll contribute to documentation, best practices, and knowledge-sharing initiatives across the cloud community.
4+ years of hands-on experience as a Cloud Engineer supporting AWS environments.
Strong expertise in AWS IAM, AWS Organizations, and cloud governance models.
Deep understanding of AWS policies, including IAM policies, SCPs, and resource-based policies.
Proven experience using Terraform for Infrastructure as Code.
Solid programming experience with Python for automation and tooling.
Experience with CI/CD pipelines, monitoring, or AWS security services is considered an asset.
