HR Systems Specialist (6-Month Contract)
Location: Ottawa, Hybrid, minimum 3 days on-site per week

You will play a key role in supporting ongoing enhancements to a modern HR system, helping ensure system changes are delivered accurately, on time, and with care.
In this role, you will work closely with a collaborative HR Systems and Analytics team, as well as internal HR and IT partners. Your attention to detail and hands-on system expertise will directly support system stability, user experience, and the successful delivery of HR initiatives across the organization.

You will support regular Workday upgrades by executing test scripts, documenting results, and escalating issues when needed.
In this role, you will carry out approved system changes, ensuring configurations are tested, documented, and implemented accurately.
You will develop and maintain system documentation such as job aids, standard operating procedures, and user support materials.
You will assist with reporting activities, including data extracts and scheduled reports within Workday.
You will provide administrative system support, including tasks related to learning and training campaigns.
You will help maintain compliance with system governance, security, and data privacy standards.
Experience in an HR systems or HRIS-focused role.
Hands-on experience using Workday for HR processes.
Post-secondary education in a relevant field or equivalent experience.
Practical knowledge of HR systems such as HRIS, ATS, or LMS, particularly within Talent or Learning.
Strong attention to detail with proven accuracy in testing, documentation, and data validation.
Ability to manage multiple tasks, follow established processes, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Strong collaboration and communication skills, with sound judgment when escalating risks or issues.
