Job Description

Data Migration Lead

Location: Hybrid in Ontario, 3 days on-site, 2 days remote
Language: Advanced written and spoken English required
Duration: 24-month contract, 40 hours per week
Background Check Requirement: Reliability security clearance required or eligibility to obtain
Compensation: Maximum pay rate of $90.58 per hour


About the Opportunity

This is a senior-level opportunity to lead large-scale data migration initiatives within a complex enterprise transformation environment. As the Data Migration Lead, you will play a critical role in shaping how data moves, evolves, and delivers value across major platforms including SAP S/4HANA, Asset Suite 9, and ECC.

You will work closely with cross-functional teams spanning Finance, Supply Chain Management, and Enterprise Asset Management, partnering with business leaders, data owners, and technology specialists. Your work will directly support long-term data governance, analytics, and regulatory outcomes within a highly structured public-sector environment.

Your Responsibilities

  • You’ll define and deliver end-to-end data migration strategies across ERP, cloud, analytics, and regulatory initiatives.

  • In this role, you’ll lead migration activities across Finance, SCM, and EAM domains using governance and data quality best practices.

  • You’ll oversee the use of tooling for data profiling, lineage, validation, and reconciliation across legacy and target environments.

  • You’ll partner with business data owners to establish stewardship models, sign-off processes, and ongoing quality monitoring.

  • You’ll coordinate secure and compliant data movement with infrastructure and security teams across on-premise and cloud platforms.

  • You’ll develop dashboards and reporting to track migration progress, risks, and readiness for go-live.


Skills and Qualifications

  • 10+ years of data management experience, including 5+ years leading enterprise-scale data migrations

  • Deep experience with SAP S/4HANA data architecture, SAP MDG, and cross-platform integration

  • Hands-on experience with data governance and migration tools such as Collibra and enterprise data lake platforms

  • Strong understanding of Finance, SCM, and EAM business processes

  • Proven ability to lead stakeholders and deliver in complex, high-stakes environments
