Our client is seeking a highly skilled M365 System Administrator to support, configure, and optimize our Microsoft Azure and M365 environment. You will play a key role in managing ~1,200 devices in a Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager (MECM) environment, supporting the ongoing migration to Windows 11, and enabling advanced M365 features including Intune.
This is an opportunity to lead significant modernization initiatives, including automation, enhanced security, and knowledge transfer within the clients organization.
Administer, configure, and support Microsoft Azure and M365 services (SharePoint, OneDrive, Intune, Teams, etc.).
Troubleshoot and resolve Azure/M365 issues; integrate with Power Automate and PowerApps.
Automate configurations with PowerShell and other tools.
Upgrade M365 licenses from E3 to E5, including required configurations.
Perform operational tasks (e.g., reviewing logs, managing access, responding to IM-driven requests).
Ensure compliance with SSC and TBS guardrails and playbooks.
Align implementations and documentation with federal IT policies and standards.
Coach and train staff to build internal expertise.
Develop and deliver documentation, change processes, risk analyses, and solutions.
Prepare weekly timesheets, status reports, and work plans.
Document requirements, cost estimates, technical recommendations, and design specifications.
Provide recommendations and documentation for operational improvements.
Configurations to enable, manage, and upgrade Azure/M365 services.
Supporting documentation and training materials.
Weekly status reports and operational updates.
Documentation of procedures, solutions, and recommendations.
Proven experience administering Microsoft Azure and M365 environments.
Expertise with MECM (SCCM), Intune, and Windows 10/11 environments.
Strong PowerShell scripting and automation skills.
Experience upgrading and managing M365 E3/E5 licenses.
Knowledge of federal government IT standards (SSC, TBS) considered an asset.
Excellent communication and documentation skills.
Reliability Security Clearance (or eligibility to obtain).
