Technology Specialist for VMware

Our client in the public sector is seeking a Technology Specialist for VMware NSX with vDefend Security. This is a contract role, hybrid in Whitby, ON. 

The role focuses on firewall and security policy design in NSX, and create operational runbooks within VCF. This is a hands-on technical role requiring strong experience in zero-trust network architecture, micro-segmentation, and threat prevention strategies.

 

Must haves:

• Experience in VMware NSX architecture
• Experience with NSX distributed and gateway firewall policy design
• Ability to create operational runbooks within VCF
• Hands on experience with IDPS, threat prevention and service insertion
• Strong knowledge of policy migration, inventory groups/tags, micro-segmented/zero trust principles

 

Preferred certifications:

• VMware Certified Professional – Private Cloud Security Administrator (vDefend Security for VCF 5.x Administrator, 6V0-21.25) where applicable.
• VMware network virtualization certifications remain the standard pathway
