This is an opportunity to play a critical role in delivering large-scale transit infrastructure that shapes how communities move and connect. This role sits within a major infrastructure delivery setting, working alongside project teams, contractors, testing agencies, and oversight representatives to ensure construction meets the highest standards.

You’ll be the central point for coordinating inspection and testing activities across complex civil and structural works, helping ensure compliance with contract requirements, specifications, and regulatory standards. Your work will directly influence the integrity and reliability of transit systems, making a visible impact on public infrastructure outcomes.

Your Responsibilities

  • You’ll coordinate and oversee all inspection and testing activities to ensure alignment with contract requirements, ITPs, and applicable standards.
  • In this role, you’ll develop, maintain, and implement Inspection and Test Plans, including hold points, witness points, and acceptance criteria.
  • You’ll conduct or supervise field inspections to verify workmanship, materials, and construction methods meet specification requirements.
  • You’ll review nonconformance reports and ensure corrective and preventive actions are properly executed and documented.
  • You’ll manage and verify qualifications of QC inspectors and testing personnel, ensuring compliance with project requirements.
  • You’ll maintain accurate, auditable quality records and prepare reporting for project leadership and oversight stakeholders.

Skills and Qualifications

  • 5+ years of QC inspection and testing experience on transit or major civil construction projects
  • Strong understanding of construction materials, methods, and inspection/testing standards
  • Experience developing and managing Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs)
  • Ability to interpret drawings, specifications, and contract documentation
  • Strong communication and coordination skills across multidisciplinary project teams
  • Certifications such as ASQ Quality Inspector, CQT, or equivalent preferred
  • Detail-oriented approach with strong problem-solving and compliance mindset
