About the Opportunity

This is an exciting opportunity for a seasoned Accounting Manager to step into a high-impact role within a growing organization in the logistics and transportation sector. You will act as a key bridge between operational accounting and strategic finance, supporting a collaborative team while helping shape the future direction of the function.

Working closely with senior leadership, including the Director of Finance, you will play a pivotal role in strengthening processes, mentoring a dedicated team, and ensuring financial accuracy across the organization. This is a hands-on leadership role where your ability to balance detail with big-picture thinking will make a meaningful difference.

Your Responsibilities

  • You will oversee the day-to-day accounting operations, including AR, AP, billing, and general ledger activities
  • You will lead and support a small team, providing coaching, mentorship, and performance management
  • You will manage month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting
  • You will collaborate with internal stakeholders and external auditors to support audits and compliance requirements
  • You will analyze financial data, identify variances, and contribute to budgeting and forecasting activities
  • You will strengthen internal controls, policies, and procedures to improve operational efficiency


Skills and Qualifications

  • 7 to 10 years of progressive accounting experience, including leadership responsibilities
  • CPA designation completed or near completion is required
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP and IFRS standards
  • Experience overseeing AR and AP functions in industries such as logistics, manufacturing, or construction is preferred
  • Proven ability to lead and develop high-performing teams
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel and familiarity with ERP systems
