About the Opportunity
Our client in the healthcare space is approaching their year-end and seeking a Senior Accountant who can jump in quickly and bring structure, clarity, and analytical strength to their financial operations. This is their first year transitioning away from a previous accounting firm taking care of their financials, so you will play a pivotal role in helping them prepare for a clean and confident year-end close.
In this fully on-site role, you will partner closely with a small and committed finance team. Your work will support both day-to-day financial integrity and longer-term improvements in processes and reporting. This opportunity truly matters for the organization, its residents, and the broader community they serve.

Your Responsibilities
- You will prepare for year-end by completing reconciliations, working papers, journal entries, and financial schedules.
- You will monitor and investigate aged accounts receivable to ensure accuracy and timely follow up.
- You will support ministry reporting requirements and assist with audit preparation.
- You will conduct detailed financial investigations where documentation is limited, uncovering root causes and proposing solutions.
- You will contribute to early budgeting work for 2026.
- You will document processes as you go, focusing primarily on execution and problem solving.
Skills and Qualifications- CPA designation, with 5+ years of accounting experience.
- Experience in healthcare is an asset, as is nonprofit exposure.
- Strong analytical capability, with demonstrated success independently resolving complex financial issues.
- Proficiency in Excel is required.
- Ability to work fully on-site and collaborate with a small, focused finance team.
