We’re assisting our client in the search for an Accountant with experience in Project Accounting.

About the Role
As a Project Accounting Technician, you’ll play an essential part in ensuring accurate, timely, and compliant financial administration for active construction projects. You’ll collaborate closely with accounting professionals, project managers, and subcontractors to maintain reliable financial data, manage documentation, and support efficient project operations.
What You’ll Do
- Process and validate subcontractor invoices through the appropriate platforms
- Prepare monthly billing for various project types (including lump sum, cost-plus, and pre-construction)
- Record and analyze project invoices using purchase orders
- Review monthly payables reports tied to assigned projects
- Examine supplier and subcontractor account statements
- Detect and flag financial discrepancies through ongoing analysis
- Organize and prioritize a high volume of incoming email communications
- Provide support to supplier accounts payable as needed
Requirements
- DEP or DEC in Accounting
- 1–3 years of relevant accounting experience
- Bilingual in French and English
- Experience with Maestro and Viridem software is an asset
